MessageKit went from idea to working product in a single afternoon. Solo. One afternoon, no team, no sprint planning, no design review. That is the pattern OneSeven Tech is describing, and it is what I do every day across a portfolio of five live products at SparrowSoft.
The portfolio spans restaurant operations, wine trade, social publishing, online ordering, and litigation support. Different verticals, different user types, different commercial contexts. Running them in parallel is not exceptional for me. It is the operating model. I define the problem, spec the solution, direct AI to build it, and ship. Engineering is not a bottleneck because I work the way your job description says it should work.
The mid-market angle is familiar. At Nine Labs I ran a 20-person consultancy for 13 years embedding directly with Fortune 500 companies and growth-stage firms, taking ambiguous situations and converting them into shipped products. Delta, IHG, Fiserv, UPS. The work was almost always discovery-first in an environment where nobody had a playbook ready. That practice is codified in my book Loops, which is a five-step product methodology built around hypothesis design, prototype-feedback rituals, and validation loops rather than stage-gated planning. The AI transformation context OneSeven Tech describes is exactly where that structure matters most: clients who do not speak product, problems that are not yet framed, and pressure to show value fast.
What I bring is thirty years of pattern recognition on what is worth building, a repeatable rapid-build workflow that gets to something real in hours rather than sprints, and direct experience operating the businesses I build software for. I co-own and operate two restaurant concepts. Donna, the restaurant management platform in the SparrowSoft portfolio, was built because I needed it myself. That is a different kind of product intuition than studying the market from the outside.
If you want someone who can enter an ambiguous client situation, frame the right problem, prototype something testable before committing dev resources, and keep two or three workstreams moving at once without needing a manager in the loop, that is the work I do.
Executive Summary
J. Cornelius is a 30-year product builder currently running a portfolio of five live SaaS products across multiple verticals at SparrowSoft, including FileMapper (litigation support), Winote (wine trade), and MessageKit, which went from idea to shipped MVP in a single afternoon. He is the author of Loops, a published product methodology used in practice for over a decade, and spent 13 years embedding with Fortune 500 clients at Nine Labs doing exactly the ambiguous-to-shipped work OneSeven Tech describes. Available for fractional or part-time remote engagement at $100/hr.
Analyst Notes
OneSeven Tech's fractional Product Manager role is a near-perfect match. The job explicitly demands extreme agency, 0-to-1 product mastery, multi-product leadership, rapid prototyping with AI, and direct founder collaboration—all core strengths in J's profile. J has 30 years of product management, currently operates SparrowSoft (6 simultaneous products built solo with AI acceleration), and has proven ability to move from discovery to shipping in hours. The remote, part-time structure aligns with J's stated preference for fractional work. The $100/hr rate is acceptable given J's floor and the meaningful autonomy offered.
Score Rationale
Excellent role alignment (0-to-1 product mastery, multi-product leadership, founder collaboration, AI-native), fully remote with fractional structure matching stated preferences, and AI/SaaS domain fit; however, part-time hourly engagement at $100/hr lacks meaningful equity upside and company stage clarity, preventing a higher score despite near-perfect role match.
